You can try using a doorway peephole to create a really sketchy fisheye ([link]) worth trying out. what I did is use one of these [link] which is a simple 35mm camera with a fisheye lens bolted to the front. Its very resonably priced, especially considering that a fisheye for my dslr would cost more than the actual dslr ha.
And your teacher is wrong when she says that canon and nikon are the best. they are certainly the market leaders, but there are plenty of other good ones aswell. When i was buying mine a few months ago I did a lot of research mainly using photography magazines and journals and ended up buying the Sony Alpha A200 ([link]) due to the fact that it consistantly came top of polls for best entry level camera etc. And I swear by it, especially considering they only retail for about £250 :]

type more...oh how much will 250 be in US $? yeah im sorry i didnt mean to say he said that nikon and canon are best, he just said exactly what you said lol they are the two main products that sell the most in the market, b.c ppl know they are affordalbe and do a good job kinda like HP.
anywho what kind of camera do you trhink i should get....? i couldnt find a Sony camera under my budget....:[ im willing to spend 750 $$$ but thats going over my budget...:] im a student lol and i have a job but im also going to school (college) full time student so as you can see i make not enough money :] to pay for an SLR camera a very pricey one..:] but hey we all start at one point right...? later i can buy a better one than the one i could buy today...:] i started with a 7.2 point and shoot camera now im moving up to a SLR...:] im thinking of buyin either this one
